• M2 Civil Engineering and Environment

    Objectives:
"Civil Engineering and Environment" specialization in the Thematic Field Applied Sciences is dedicated to Research. The targeted careers refer to science and technique in the field of Civil Engineering and the R&D sector. Training is thus destined for professions in academic or industrial research sectors, research and engineering consulting departments, and higher education.

    Skills:
The specializations of the Thematic Field aim at the acquisition of the following skills:
    • Mastership in Civil Engineering and Environment
    • Overall knowledge of the state of the art in this area, of major scientific keys and active research fields
    • Ability to make a state of the art on a specialized topic related to the specialization area
    • Ability to conduct a scientific study on a topic related to the specialization area

    Program of Study:
M2 is organized into two semesters credited 30 ECTS each. Training consists by half of UE (10 courses credited 3ECTS each) grouped in a common core of 4 UE and two topical courses: "Superstructures and Materials" and "Soils, Rocks and Structures in their Environment".
The other half consists of practice work in laboratory (Practice classes and Research Project - 9 ECTS, internship in laboratory - 21 ECTS).
Two UE maximum can be chosen between other specializations of the "Applied Sciences" Thematic Field, in particular the specializations "Dynamics, Structures, Materials, Coupled Systems" (DSMSC) and "Processes, Environment and Biotechnology" (PEBT).

    Common Course:
    • Rheology and Modeling of Materials Behavior
    • Numerical Methodology
    • Experimental Methodology
    • Management of Natural and Environmental Risks
  • rss
