OE&SM Chair’s key issues
The OE&MS Chair sponsors integrated cross disciplinary research in the fields of human factor & culture, organization theory and operations research. The Chair aims to develop innovative thinking related to the banking operations strategy and governance.
A key challenge of the chair is the new design of banking processes which are characterized by high levels of human interaction and experience while needing to reduce organizational complexity. This requires going beyond classical OE programs or their optimization.
The successful applicant will collaborate with the three co-chairs members, each representing one of the Chair’s three disciplines: Operations Research, Organization Research & Cultural/Human Factors Research and working in an integrated perspective.
The Chair addresses questions such as:
- How are and should operations be done to transform the system from a structural system of mechanisms to a functional system of interactions, open and resilient?
- How do CEOs, managers and operators make choices under uncertainty and how can they improve their performance?
- How do changes in national and supranational rules and regulations change the staff behavior and impact the operations performance?
