Study Abroad

The pedagogical approach adopted by Centrale Paris privileges experiences in companies and internationally, opening windows onto the world thanks notably to its network of international partnerships, supported by study trips, group work bringing students together from throughout the world and the commitment of international student associations to sharing cultures.

To prepare students for international careers and to make the Centralien engineer an essential player in the multi-cultural world of business, the Ecole Centrale Paris has decided to make a minimum six-month international experience mandatory. Companies are looking for young graduates capable of being operational in an international context from the moment they leave the School.

From now on, to obtain their engineering degree, the School’s student must undertake one of the following:

  • an international semester (S8) with an academic exchange, a laboratory or a company;
  • a double degree in a partner university which allows for the simultaneous award of the degree in both the home and the host universities;
  • a gap year between the second and third years which involves at least six months internationally.

The School invites its students to reflect on a destination which interests them and how the international activity can be incorporated into their professional project.
