The École Centrale Paris is accredited to award the Doctorate. There are approximately 230 students registered for a Doctorate and around 50 doctoral theses are successfully completed each year.

Admission

French or foreign students who hold a DEA may apply and register for a doctoral thesis. The DEA requirement may be waived in exceptional circumstances where a candidate has already benefited from a recognized introduction to research or has already undertaken a personal research project.

The Director of the École Centrale Paris following the candidate's proposal by the Supervisor takes the final decision. The usual time taken for the completion of a doctorate is 3 years.

Candidates who have satisfactorily passed their viva are awarded the title of " Docteur de l'École Centrale Paris ", in the specialty in which they carried out their research.
Closing date for applications is 16^th November.
