Eramus Mundus Programs
Since 2008, Ecole Centrale Paris is involved in Erasmus Mundus Programs, first as partners and now as coordinator. Thus, it contributes to reinforce links between Europe and China with TANDEM and the zone Japan/Korea with BEAM.
The TANDEM Alliance (Top Academic Networking for Developing Exchange and Mobility) comprises 20 higher education institutions: 11 european members - 5 Ecoles Centrales, Supélec, the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Politecnico di Milano, TU München, Université Libre de Bruxelles et Universidad Politecnica de Madrid – and 9 chinese members - Tsinghua, Shanghai JiaoTong, Xi’an JiaoTong, Southwest JiaoTong, Beihang, Northwestern Polytecnical University, Ocean University of China, TongJi et Zhetiang Universities).
TANDEM has generated 237 financed mobilities with 4.4 millions €.
EM-BEAM ((Build on Euro-Asian Mobility) involves 12 institutions in higher education and research, 6 european members (Ecole Centrale de Nantes, Imperial College, TU München, Université Libre de Bruxelles, Universidad Politecnica de Madrid), 4 japanese partners (Keio University, Okayama University, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Waseda University) and 2 korean partners (KAIST et Hanyang University). This program, oriented on research exchanges in engineering, mathematics, informatics and sciences, may generate 84 mobilities with 1 million € of grants.
