How to apply for a Student Exchange Program at Ecole Centrale Paris
The application period for Student Exchange Program starting autumn 2013 will be open from 1 March to 15 April, 2013.
Ecole Centrale Paris will not assess any documents before a full application has been submitted and the selection process has started.
Students will send the application form duly validated and signed by their home university, as well as a set of correctly certified documents by regular mail.
They are invited to choose their elective courses by filling the Course selection document, and to add it to with the application form.
The normal course load is 30 ECTS per semester. Depending on the requirements of the home institution, students may either take the full 30 ECTS load, or choose at least 24 ECTS.
A CESI degree (Certificat d’Etudes Scientifiques de l’Ingénieur) will be awarded to students completing 30 ECTS with a mark-average higher than 10/20.
Deadline for applications: 15 April 2013 to
Ecole Centrale Paris
Grande Voie des Vignes
Scanned copies of the application form will not be accepted.
Students will be notified by email once their documents have been received.
The international Office of the sending university will be informed of the student acceptance or rejection by mail, and official letter will directly be sent by regular mail to the student.
Non-degree seeking exchange programmes for International students
This program enables students to spend a semester or a full academic year of complete immersion in a multidisciplinary curriculum covering sciences, engineering and humanities. Courses are taken for credits so that this program doesn’t lengthen the student’s studies at the home institution.
Courses may be taken in any of the four semesters (S5 to S8).
- S5 = Fall of the 3rd year of post‐high school education,
- S6 = Spring of the 3rd year,
- S7 = Fall of the 4th year,
- S8 = Spring of the 4th year.
The Fall semesters run from early September until the end of January.
The Spring semesters are from February 1 to mid‐June.
International students in their 3rd or 4th year of post‐high school education may choose to take courses form any of the programs offered in Semesters S5‐S8.
The courses taught in Semesters S5‐S6 represent the common core of Centrale Paris and tend to be fairly theoretical, with heavy emphasis on Mathematics and Physics.
The Semesters S7 and S8 offer more electives in engineering and are well suited for international students.
Semester S8 is best suited for students with limited knowledge of French as almost half of the courses are offered in English.
